For brokers and the bonds that approve them

Nobody trades a cask without the owner’s say-so

Three gates stand between a broker and your stock: their own book, an approval from each bond they want to trade into, and a mandate from you, per cask, that you can withdraw.

Broker authorisation

The broker book

A broker trades through a book, not as a person. Permissions attach to the book, so who works at the brokerage can change without anyone re-approving anything.

Approval, per bond

A warehouse approves each book separately before it can see that warehouse’s stock. Approval is the bond’s decision alone, and it can revoke it.

The owner’s mandate

Even a fully onboarded broker cannot list or sell your cask without a mandate from you. Grant it across everything you hold or only the casks you name, and revoke it whenever you like.

Scoped to the book, not the bond

A broker’s access is scoped to their own book rather than to a warehouse, so approving one never quietly grants them anything at another.

Listings you control

Reprice or withdraw your own listings without touching the cross-book marketplace everyone else sees.

Exit routes

How a cask actually left the market, recorded after the fact by whatever channel it went through, rather than assumed from the last thing the system saw.

How it fits

Part of the same chain of custody
